Fleming Fund Fellowship Showcase

We are delighted to invite you to join the Fleming Fund Fellowship Showcase.

The Showcase will highlight work at University of Edinburgh as a Host Institution for the Fleming Fund Fellowship Schemes in eastern and southern Africa.

Over the past 5 years University mentors have supported nearly 60 fellows in Uganda, Kenya, Malawi and Zambia to build capacity that addresses the global challenges of antimicrobial resistance and responsible antibiotic use. The professional and policy fellows take a One Health approach, to draw together inputs from human, animal and environmental sectors to develop cross-cutting, impactful and just solutions that can effectively tackle the global rise in resistant infections.

This event will feature the perspectives of some of our current fellows from Uganda and Zambia on the challenges posed by AMR in their national contexts, and discuss some of the work that has taken place in Edinburgh.

Please note that the event capacity is limited, so please register as soon as possible.

The event is part of the University’s World One Health Day series, and also aligns with global activities in World AMR Awareness Week.  Lunch will be available after the event for those who are able to stay.
