2019 British Society of Animal Sciences Annual Conference

Scientists from across the world are being invited to make their submissions to present at BSAS’ 75th anniversary conference in Edinburgh next spring.

Fit for the Future

The event, ’Fit for the Future’, will focus on the challenges and opportunities animal science - and those working in the sector - face in trying to feed a growing world population with fewer resources.

Held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre from 9 - 11 April, the conference will be a celebration of the progress animal science has made over the last 75 years. 

It will also look ahead to livestock science’s next steps, identifying the way the sector needs to develop to meet the world’s challenges.

Invited sessions

As well as the usual programme of species-specific sessions, experts from across the world will discuss the pioneering technologies which are shaping the future of animal production.

Meanwhile speakers from industry will discuss subjects ranging from animal behaviour, the economics of animal welfare and the adoption of new technology in livestock production, including:

Animal scientists and those working in related industries are now being invited to make their applications to present at the conference. 

Submissions will be accepted via the conference website until Monday 12 November 2018.
