16th Annual Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Disease Meeting

This year's Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Disease (EEID) conference will span four core thematic areas:

  • Genomics and big data in disease ecology and evolution
  • Disease control interventions and real-world applications of disease ecology and evolution
  • Host shifts and disease emergence
  • Within-host dynamics: co-infection to wild immunology

A few program notes to highlight:

  • The meeting starts with an opening reception on 29 May 29 at 6pm at the Glasgow Botanic Gardens.
  • Talks and poster sessions will run from the morning of 30 May 30 until the evening of 31 May.
  • A special session on 'Teaching Ecology and Evolution of Infectious Diseases’ will take place on the evening of 30 May.
  • A banquet dinner and ceilidh will take place on the evening of 31 May at the Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery.
  • The EEID hike will leave on the morning of 1 June 1 and return that afternoon.  

Registration

  • Registration fees are £180/person for faculty, staff and professionals and £100/person for registered students. This includes all meeting sessions, the banquet and transportation for the hike.  
  • Please register early as attendance may need to be capped due to space limitations.

Abstract submission

  • We are accepting abstracts for a limited number of oral presentations (15 minutes) and for two poster sessions.
  • Poster presenters may have the opportunity to give a 30 second poster teaser talk to the EEID audience.  
  • Two poster prizes will be awarded for ‘Best Poster in Disease Ecology and Evolution’ and ‘Best Poster in Disease Ecology and Evolution for Policy Change’
  • Please register before submitting an abstract
  • Abstract submission will remain open until 31 March 2018
  • Abstracts should be submitted via the EEID website: http://eeidconference.org/2018/submissions/
